NPA Southwest is a membership-based trade association
that encompasses and is open to persons or entities
involved in, or associated with, the nutritional
food, dietary supplements and related products and
services industry.
NPA Southwest along with our national organization
represents the industry's interests to regulators,
policymakers, the media, and the public.
As an NPA Southwest member, you'll receive timely
and accurate industry news and information and be
eligible to participate in association programs.
You will also immediately expand your network and
have something in common with hundreds of other businesses
in the natural products industry.
Membership Categories
Persons or firms involved in, or associated with,
the nutritional food industry may apply for membership
in one or more membership categories of NPA-SW.
A person whose business is based in the NPA Southwest
and whose business qualifies in one of these categories
is eligible to vote in NPA-SW elections and on
other business, provided their NPA membership is
current.
Voting Categories Retailers: Those primarily engaged in the independent
retailing of nutritional products from self-contained
store(s) where a minimum of seventy-five percent
(75%) of the gross sales consists of nutritional
foods, food supplements and related Items.
Non-Voting Categories Nutritional Professionals: These individuals, based
in the NPA Southwest, are as follows: nutritional
counselors, chiropractors, physicians and naturopaths.
Educators, authors and lecturers in nutritional matters
are included. Applications will be reviewed.
Associate Membership: Available
to persons or firms furnishing non-consumable goods,
such as shelving or cash registers, and services,
such as store design or business consulting, to the
nutritional food industry.
Allied
Groups: This includes certain
organizations that are active in health and related
fields, and support some of the same efforts as NPA-SW.
Publishers: Membership is available
to the owner/managers of firms based in the NPA Southwest
and engaged in printing and circulation of material
to the nutritional food industry.
